The Full Process
Step 1 – Get to know each other
First, we need to determine whether we’re the right fit for each other. We’ll take a deep dive into
your vision to ensure we fully understand it. Together, we’ll discuss your budget, timeline,
financing, and overall goals—along with defining clear roles and expectations for the entire
process.
Step 2 – Pre-Construction Agreement
Before we enter into a Construction Agreement, there will be certain pre-construction activities
that involve separate fees. These activities will be covered under a Professional Services
Agreement (PSA). Please note that signing the PSA does not obligate you to move forward with
a Construction Agreement, and you will retain ownership of all work produced during the project
development phase covered by the PSA.
Step 3 – Project Design & Development
Once the PSA is signed, we’ll begin detailed discussions about your project. We’ll collaborate
closely with any external designers, such as architects, to develop a comprehensive project plan.
Our goal is to ensure you’re fully comfortable and confident every step of the way. Together,
we’ll define the scope of work, cabinet drawings, finishes, project timeline, progress payment
schedule, construction logistics, and more.
Step 4 – Construction Services Agreement
At this stage, with the design and production plan approved, we’re ready to provide a fixed
bid for your project. You’ll be introduced to your dedicated project manager, and together
you’ll establish a communication plan that works best for you. We’ll then present the
Construction Contract for mutual signature, taking the time to review and explain every
detail to ensure you’re fully informed and confident moving forward.
Step 5 – Project Management
During the construction phase, we’ll manage all aspects of the project—including material
procurement, scheduling, on-site oversight, and coordination of the work to completion.
Throughout the process, we’ll keep you informed with regular updates on progress and promptly
communicate any issues that arise.
Step 6 – Workflow Revisions
Even with thorough planning, you might decide to make changes as the project progresses—and
that’s completely fine! We’re happy to accommodate any adjustments you want to make. The
Construction Agreement will clearly outline how any additional costs related to these changes
will be managed.
Step 7 – Finishing Touches
You’re almost there! During the final phase, we will conduct a thorough inspection, hold a
final review meeting, complete a detailed clean-up, gather your feedback, and provide all
necessary warranty documentation. Maintaining our high standard of craftsmanship and
service throughout every step of the process is our top priority.
Step 8 – Cherish
Your custom ADU project is now complete, and we sincerely thank you for allowing us to
bring your vision to life.
